The Arts Fest

Photobucket

Have you gotten your Artsfest tix yet? Yes I have! Looking forward to watching class enemies next month. I love hearing the band play at the maze on fri and sat nights. Too bad I have mainly afternoon shifts...
By the way... Thank you Pam for accompanying that Fri afternoon!

Some fireworks during the Waterfools. I still remember the time when I saw the sparks above me at the Esplanade. They looked so huge and close... The performance was ok... couldn't see much actually. The publicity must have been quite successful... There were alot of people along the river.

Dinner with the sciencies

Photobucket

This.... is our Life Science graduation dinner! So cool of the department to organize this gathering for us =) It was real fun to dress up with Liling and Joyce. We just totally exchanged dresses... accessories, and make-up! I'll miss hanging out with these folks. We'll definitely keep in touch =)

Thrilling

Photobucket

Mindhunters... was SO COOL. It was such a fabulous show. I get goosebumps every 10mins while watching it. So exciting... with so many twists... At first I thought it was gonna be a lousy show since the synopsis made it sound boring. But it turns out that so many Sat night movies screen are so good.

Hair DIY

Today I had a haircut...by yours truly. This is what happens when you have additional time on your hands. Anyway I was just going to snip the frinch... when I decided to go for the coloured streaks of my hair too. I find the hair surprisingly versatile actually. I mean... It doesn't go THAT out of shape after all. Hehe.

Bye to TLL

Photobucket

The place where I have been recluse to for the past 6 months, and the folks who have ensured that the lab is not just a place for rats =)

Photobucket

Our lab tables and equipment. Can't believe that I thought of naming myself Eliza in year one. And then in year four I had such an affinity with ELISA plates. Haha...

Photobucket

My poster presentation. The week of excitement to churn out that piece of poster and present it. Such memorably RUSH days I had. Today however, I am letting time pass me by. The concept of Kairos time is really cool.

Photobucket

The entrance banner when I first entered TLL. I have a weakness for good quotes, and that thus ends my farewell blog post =)

They call me... a graduate

My life as a postgraduate bum... consists of SIMS, movies, friends, music, job hunt.
It's a pity that SIMs is coming in first. Our all-time virtual human beans. Nowhere compared to Lilings super expanded version but it was better then nothing so I got a little hooked on it. Haha.
Today I finally rented X-men 3. Yayyy. Doesn't matter if the movie sucks... The sequel must go on. But Videoezy was rather funny. First they entice you to rent 3 DVDs at a lower price. And then after that, they told me that I could rent 4 over the Vesak holidays for 7 days! Wells. Too many movies that I want to watch already so 4 DVDs it was. Yay! Hairspray and NotraDame (I have a subtle aim to watch all the Disney cartoons). Plus Queen Elizabeth =)
Today the jamming session was rather messy but rather refreshing in a way. Could finally hear how my keyboard playing sounds in a band. And my guitar beat has improved soooo much from the past. The thing is about self-learning is that you miss our some of the essentials in life. And can anyhow play with the snare drum eyyyy. Hehe. Ay but where are experienced people like Pastor Gary when you need them.
Actually... I met a cutie pie called Sunshine Sasha today. She was soooooo cute. I have NEVER... never... never I say, seen a dog bring a rag to others so that it can play a tag of war with it. It was even growling during the game. SO CUTE. And she was Golden!!! Reminds me of my dear virtual Summer.
Well, another story to tell is the Singapore Arts festival. It has been a bit disappointing because the maze has yet to be set up. Well. But I look forward to the visual arts performance that I will be going for! And it's great to somehow meet new friends whenever I get on the job. I count myself fortunately to meet nice and friendly counterparts.
And the biggest thing, which I am unfortunately discussing at the end... is of course my job hunt. It's a bit slow... waiting for people to reply. But it's ok I reckon. I actually have more peace after going for the Game of Life workshop that other day. It was a fantastic workshop and mind you... my standards are not very low one. Hurhur. I really learnt of things... and that was refreshing indeed =) Actually I have also come to appreciate my cell alot... I find that they are really friends whom I can share comfortably with. Yay =)
Next up... I just need to fulfill my dream to be a smooth roller blader. My aspiration of the wheels =)
Ay life has so many fun things and so many stresses and dreams and work.

Iron-ic

Photobucket

Wa. The movie about Ironman was so cool. Tony Starks is some super genius. Iya but he's fictional la. Haha. It's like one of the better super hero shows that I've watched so far. The way they depicted his development into ironman was much better then Fantastic 4 etc. Very smooth ey. Too bad the trailer was lousy. Good thing there was good online reviews about it. Heh. Plus the humor is not as cheesy as that in Transformers! I think some people have a kick of directing. Can tell that Ridley Scott has a certain style too. Ok why am I analyzing movies.
Today was my last exam paper already! Yay! Actually... I did feel a bit of nostalgia. It's not that I like NUS or exams or anything, but I felt a tinge of sadness that I wouldn't be eating NUS food anymore or sitting for exams. Hurhur. So ironic!!
